Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will be returned to authors before review.
- Originality: The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by any other journal; any preprint or prior conference presentation is disclosed in the cover letter.
- Three-File Model: The submission consists of three separate Microsoft Word (.docx) files: 1) Title Page, 2) Anonymous Manuscript, and 3) Cover Letter.
- Type of Contribution: The type of contribution is stated on the title page and in the cover letter, and the manuscript follows the corresponding structure set out in Section 4 of the Instructions for Authors.
- Double-Blind Anonymization: The Anonymous Manuscript contains no author names, affiliations, e-mail addresses, funder or project names, or institutional identifiers in the text, figures, tables or file name, and its document properties have been cleared of personal metadata.
- Formatting: The text follows Section 3 of the Instructions for Authors: Times New Roman 11 pt, single spacing throughout, 2.5 cm margins, 1.27 cm first-line indent, 1.27 cm hanging indent in the reference list, and page numbers at the bottom centre. Tables (without vertical lines) and figures (at least 300 dpi) are placed in the text where they are first discussed.
- Abstract and Second-Language Block: The abstract is a single non-indented paragraph of 150–250 words, followed by 5–7 keywords separated by semicolons. The second-language block required by Section 4.3 (Armenian for an English manuscript, English for a Russian one) is placed after the Conclusion and before the reference list.
- Research Questions and Discussion: Research questions or hypotheses are stated explicitly in the Introduction, and the Discussion returns to them, including the limitations of the study.
- Declarations: All declarations required by Section 5 are given on the title page: ethical approval and informed consent, consent for identifiable material, conflicts of interest, funding, data availability, use of generative artificial intelligence, and acknowledgments. Declarations that do not apply are stated as such, not omitted.
- References and DOIs: Every in-text citation corresponds to an entry in the reference list and every entry is cited in the text. DOIs are provided as active links (https://doi.org/…) for all sources that have them, without the prefix "DOI:" and without a full stop after the link.
- Revised Submissions: For a revised manuscript, the cover letter contains a point-by-point response to every item of the previous editorial or review report.
