The international peer-reviewed journal Education in the 21st Century operates under the Diamond Open Access model. All published content is immediately, permanently and freely accessible online, with no subscription paywalls, no embargo periods and no registration requirements. Neither authors nor readers are charged at any stage.
2. Compliance with international standards
This policy follows the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and meets the transparency criteria of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link to the full texts of the articles, to crawl them for indexing and to pass them as data to software, and to use them for any other lawful purpose permitted by the journal's user licence, without financial, legal or technical barriers other than those inseparable from access to the internet itself.
3. Reuse licence
Permitted reuse is defined by the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence, which allows copying, distribution and adaptation of the material for non-commercial purposes with appropriate credit and a link to the licence. The licence is displayed in the full text of every article. The complete terms are set out in Licensing Terms and Copyright.
4. Copyright retention
Authors retain the copyright in their publications and all publishing rights. By submitting a manuscript, the authors grant the journal Education in the 21st Century and Yerevan State University Publishing House a non-exclusive licence to publish the work in printed and electronic form and to be identified as the place of its first publication. No transfer of copyright is required or requested at any stage.
5. Self-archiving
Authors may deposit the submitted, accepted or published version of their article in an institutional or subject repository, and on personal or departmental pages, without any embargo period, providing a link to the published article on the journal's website.
6. No article processing charges
The journal levies no article processing charges, submission fees or editorial processing costs. The publication infrastructure and the editorial workflow are funded in full by Yerevan State University, which ensures equal access to publication and unhindered dissemination of research.
