ALL ASSUMPTIONS ARE PRESUMABLE: THE EIGHTH PLAGUE. ESSAY

    EDUARD HARUTYUNYAN
    View PDF
    Abstract

Much has changed since the waters of the earth parted from the land, the light from the darkness, the sky from the earth, each with its own eidos. Step by step modern civilization is forming a strange mixture of one-dimensioned and uniformed world, where all the people seem to typify the same eidos and are interchangeable identities without individualities. They are everybody and at the same time nobody. They are a mixture of formless ones, who don’t adapt to each other, but obediently accept their identity, and don’t have their own reason for living.

    BEHAVIORAL OBSERVATION OF “OVERDUE LEADER”

    VALERI MIRZOYAN
    View PDF
    Abstract

In the article, the author introduces the concept of “overdue leader” not only temporarily, but also from the point of view of the leader’s ability to realize the fact of ending his own mission. The timely departure of the leader is one of the main conditions for ensuring democratic principles of governance, while the unreasonable “delay” of the leader creates a lot of personal and social problems. The appearance of an “overdue leader” indicates a serious illness of the entire social organism, in particular, the absence of mutual balances between the branches of govern-ment, the imperfection of the political system, the fragmentation of the opposition, and the incapacity of civil society institutions. The behavioral degradation of the leader himself is inevitable – the strengthening of power, lust, populism, cynicism, narcissism, Machiavellianism, intolerance, aggressiveness, etc.

POSTMODERNISM AS A HISTORICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL PROJECT OF MODERNITY

    GAGIK SOGHOMONYAN
    View PDF
    Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the phenomena of personality and history in the post-modernism tradition. The author follows the dynamics of the views about the social history of such philosophers as J.F. Lyotard, M. Foucault, R. Barthes, G. Deleuze, J. Baudrillard from the point of correlation between interpretations of history and the problem of Man.

THE PROBLEMATIC ESSENCE OF THE EXPLANATION AND DEFINITION OF THE “TRUTH”

    GEVORG HAKOBYAN
    View PDF
    Abstract

All the spheres of scientific activity strive for the truth since the value of any scientific-philosophical statement depends on the trueness of the latter. So, here arises a proper question: is the essence of truth known by the scientificphilosophical community? If not, then how is it possible to assert that this or that mental structure is true? On the other hand, if it is known, it means that the essence of the truth can be defined or/and explained. Nevertheless, the analysis shows that any attempt to explain or define the essence of truth leads to a dead-end, i.e., it is simply impossible to define or explain the essence of the truth.

    IMPOSED SUICIDES

    KAMO VARDANYAN
    View PDF
    Abstract

The scientific paper is devoted to one of the psychological displays of suicide – imposed suicides. Some types of imposed suicide are being suggested, preconditioned by tradition, law, disease, economic failures, criminal subcultures that cause the loss of a great number of people. The author introduces some theoretically grounded and practically tested approaches which will be useful for psychologists, doctors and will give the chance to foresee the coming act of suicide (suicide inevitability) and carry out precautionary (preventive) actions to prevent suicide and to provide treatment.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MATHEMATICAL APPROACH TO MODELING THE ECONOMIC BEHAVIOR OF AN INDIVIDUAL DUE TO PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS

    KARLEN VOSKANYAN
    View PDF
    Abstract

The characteristic feature of every person as a social subject is their economic behavior. Economic behavior is a type of social behavior of the subject reflecting their participation in economic life through various forms of economic activity and due to the needs, interests, and material prosperity of the latter. It can be cognitive, impulsive, controlled, or uncontrollable. In most economic theories, when modeling the economic behavior of an individual, economic factors are considered as parameters of the characteristic functions of the model, while underplaying the role of psychological factors. In the manifestations of economic behavior, the dominant psychological factors are the biopsychological characteristics of the person. These factors, as genetic prerequisites, reflect the person’s attitude to the world and phenomena, their potentials, abilities, skills, predetermination, and orientation to an activity. The economic behavior of the individual is also determined by the characteristics of the society (ethnic group, nation) of which he or she is a representative. Factors influencing the economic behavior of an individual may be the ethnic characteristics (national traditions, customs, moral values, ethnic stereotypes, etc.). Therefore, when constructing a mathematical model of the economic behavior of an individual, among the parameters of the characteristic functions of the model, it is also necessary to consider factors of an ethnopsychological nature. For a more visual representation of the problem of modeling the economic behavior of an individual due to psychological factors, we consider the simplest mathematical model of a risk perspective built in a commodity-money space and discuss the possible manifestations of the economic behavior of an individual as a consumer in accordance with this model.
