    Abstract

In this paper, the proposition is stated and the argument is withdrawn that the essential characteristic trait of scientific knowledge is its objectivity, that is, its consideration as an abstract idea, i.e., as an idea alienated of personal subject, free from personal prejudices, of its expectations and assumptions. In this, Aristotlean, position, the discursive reason is dealing with external facts, and, in this case, the process of stating certain assertions (including a number of theoretical statements), their argumentation, their admission or negation, – become communicable (communicative), understood synonymously, “intelligible for every individual subject, endowed with ration”, as it is formulated by Immanuel Kant.

Images of “We” and “They” in the Armenian Epic

    Seyran Zakaryan

    Abstract

In the article, it is shown that differences in the characters of “We” and “They” in the Armenian Epic are manifested in their mentality and behavioral attitudes towards visionaries and values (homeland, state, power, human, faith, etc.). In the Armenian Epic, the characters of “We” and “They” are generally presented in accordance with the “classic rules”: “We” are attributed with positive and “They” are attributed with negative features, but these attributions are not conditioned by their racial, tribal and religious specifics, but rather by the moral-anthropological ones. There is no hatred towards the enemy and there is no xenophobia. Negative traits are attributed to the representatives of the Enemy which, though in the general context of the relationship between “We” and “They” make their characters not hateful and despicable, but on the contrary,in some sense, outstanding and praiseworthy. For instance, in the epic in contrast to the Armenians, who rethink the reality by means of moral concepts, protect the homeland through heroes-saviors and do not have a vision of a state establishment and the wish to acquire the Enemy’s country after the victory, the Enemy for whom the morality naturally is a realization of the will of power, is represented as the holder of statehood attributes (state, state institutions, governor-hero, advisors, court, army, state interest and thinking, will of power), who instinctively tries strengthen his own state by conquering the others and prefers state interest to private.

    Abstract

The so-called virtualization process of the society is up-to-date today, and it occurs as a result of the rapid progress of information technology. The utopia of ideal wonder future continues to live in the form of a virtual utopia which represents a real-life sequel. The virtual reality is being turned into an inferior reality, but nowadays the latter has transformed many ordinary things for us, both from individual and social perspectives. The postmodern utopia has also another vast field of manifestation, that is virtual reality. The virtual reality is an interesting option for a human to escape to the imaginary world and to live by the laws of that world.

Where Does the Development of Psychology Lead?

    Gagik Petrosyan
    View PDF
    Abstract

The problem of development of psychological knowledge is one of the central methodological problems of psychology. In the paper, the author shows that psychology cannot develop by means of the development of empirical sciences. In psychology, anomalies are not possible, i.e. such facts under the influence of which psychological theories and concepts would change. New psychological theories emerge not by increasing the factual volume, but by changing the theoretical content of science. All theories in psychology proceed from the same factual data. Only the explanations given to this data in different psychological theories and concepts do differ. Therefore, the only way to develop psychology, according to the author, is theoretical development - integration, and generalization of psychological knowledge.

The Problem of Temporality in Phenomenological Psychiatry

    Vladimir Mikayelyan
    View PDF
    Abstract

If the psychological analysis becomes the subject of a scientific analysis, then, in this case, we will not advance even a single step, guided by the causal principle of treating psychic phenomena. For a person, the predictability of both the surrounding world and himself is of particular value. The ability to explain is ultimately the ability to live. The world of man and the world outside of man must have concrete interpretational models. Everything that fits into the cause-and-effect scheme is for us the ultimate truth. Therefore, it is inherent in man to constantly maintain and nourish the myth of the causality of all that exists.
