About the Journal
ArmJIL is a double-blind peer-reviewed scientific journal with a broad focus on international law. The Journal is published twice a year – one issue in summer, the second issue – in late fall/early winter. In addition to the regular issues, special issues may be published per year.
ArmJIL accepts the following types of submissions that engage with current themes in international law:
- Articles (or Lead Articles) between 8,000 and 12,000 words (including footnotes),
- Scholarly Essays between 4,000 and 6,000 words (including footnotes),
- Book Reviews and Review Essays between 1500 - 3000 words, respectively (including footnotes),
- International Decisions and Decision Essays, not exceeding 4,000 words (including footnotes).
ArmJIL is published under the auspices of YSU in cooperation with the Armenian Institute for International Legal Studies.
ArmJIL is open to publishing articles on general international law and comparative law, including international humanitarian law, international dispute resolution (including arbitration), current issues related to the international protection of human rights, and state responsibility, as well as original issues relating to any aspect of international law and interdisciplinary approaches to international law (political science, international relations, economic analysis of international law).
ArmJIL aims to cover current developments and themes in international law. The Journal creates a scientific platform for international law scholars, including early career researchers (including PhD students, young academics). It advances peer-reviewed high-quality research in the field of International Law, inter alia, with reference to developments concerning Armenia and the region in general.
ArmJIL’s publication costs are fully funded by Yerevan State University. And there is no fee for submitting, reviewing, and publishing in this journal for authors!
