Abstract

The article explores the boundary, as a phenomenon of demarcation of "insiders" and "strangers". Geographic, state, administrative, national, symbolic and cultural borders are divided. Particular importance is attached to the boundaries of culture, which are of a dual nature. On the one hand, this is a zone of communication and dialogues of cultures, on the other, a zone of disconnections and clashes. The prevalence of each of these parties can lead to a decline in culture and, eventually, to the decline. Therefore, the philosophical interpretation of the border is viewed as a philosophy of understanding that will promote intercultural understanding, dialogue, and interchange of cultural elements.
