Abstract

The present paper discusses the typical features of academic novel in modern American and European, specifically British literatures referring to the works published in the last two decades. Subtypes and subgenres of academic novel are discussed together with specific thematic features of American and British academic novels. Issues such as gender and racial discrimination in academic novels and cultural wars are also under consideration.
