Abstract

One of the greatest works of Juan Goytisolo is “Children of Chaos” which reflects the reinterpretation of the past. Set in two dimensions – the war and its consequences, the novel depicts the author’s perception of the past. The use of principles of intertextuality, mythologems and deliberate breach in configurations of time and space (chronotope) reveal the author’s attempts at writing an experimental novel.
