STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC PECULIARITIES OF DIPLOMATIC DOCUMENTS OF AGRÉMENT AND CREDENTIAL IN ENGLISH

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the study of structural and semantic peculiarities of the language of diplomacy as a substyle of official documents. It examines diplomatic documents of application for agrément, agrément and credential, through which states regulate the appointment of ambassadors and the establishment of interstate relations. The international rules of drawing up documents and the special set of linguistic units are characteristic of diplomatic correspondence.
