Abstract

The present paper studies the peculiarities of speech strategies and tactics in English political discourse, analyses the linguostylistic means of their realization. On the basis of the analysis carried out a conclusion is drawn that language units possess considerable persuasive potential which is realized in speech strategies and tactics actively used in political discourse.
