Abstract

The present paper is devoted to the study of some peculiarities of political discourse. The aim of the research is to examine the notion of discourse as well as to provide the analysis of a political speech by Emmanuel Macron at the lexical level. The research is carried out with reference to the speech by the French President at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow. Within the framework of the research, the lexical peculiarities of Emmanuel Macron's speech have been presented.
