DENATURATION OF HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN AT THE PRESENCE OF UREA–DIMETHYLSULFOXID COMPLEXES

    K. R. Grigoryan
    View PDF
    Abstract

Human serum albumin (HSA) chemical denaturation at 60 oC in aqueousdimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solutions at the presence of urea has been investigated by the Uv/vis spectroscopy method. It has been shown that DMSO–urea complexes, which have been formed in the solution, induce the HSA denaturation. A suggestion has been made that the HSA denaturation has two stages at the presence of these complexes: the first stage – protein globule loosening and the second – full unfolding of protein molecule. In the HSA–urea–DMSO system predominate hydrophobic interactions.

    Abstract

It has been shown that the main interaction of dimetylsulfoxide (DMSO) with butenolyde (Bu) occurs between (DMSO) >S=O (1053 сm–1) C=O (1760 сm–1, 1730 сm–1) groups. Densimetric measurements show that in the temperature range 20–40oC the solution (Bu+H2O+DМSО) density dependence on [BU]0 is described by a curve with a minimum at [BU]0=0,009 mol/kg. Two absorption regions λ=350 are obtained as the result of complexformation between of DMSO and Bu molecules. The action of Bu on eritrocite results in membrane protection and guarantees its activity, DMSO enhance the results in opposite.

    Abstract

The action of 2-cyano-3,4,4-trimethyl-2-butene-4-olid (UCL) on cumene autooxidation kinetics in chlorobenzene solution initiated by AIBN at 353 K has been studied. It has been established that UCL practically does no act on the steady state reaction rate, but in its presence some induction period is being noticed which depends on [UCL]0. Ionol as well TEMPO act as classical inhibitors, but their inhibitory action is being decreased in UCL presence. An interaction antagonism is being noticed in presence of UCL+ionol and UCL+TEMPO pairs. Probably it is due to interaction of UCL molecule with ionol as well with TEMPO. It is assumed that UCL may be cooxidized with cumene.

    Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is to apply sulphate roasting in hydrometallurgical processing of a polymetallical concentrate obtained by flotation from sulphide ores in Shaumyan deposit. It is shown that by means of sulphate low temperature roasting of a concentrate with subsequent acid leaching of roasting burnt, it is possible to extract such valuable non-ferrous metals, as copper, zinc and lead.

NEW APPROACH TO THE SYNTHESIS OF 3-SUBSTITUTED QUINAZOLIN-4-ONES ON THE ANTRANILIC ACID ETHER BASE

    Abstract

A new simple and handy method for obtaining variable 3-substituted quinazolin-4-ones has been developed. The interaction of anthranilic acid methyl ester with dimethylformamide dimethylacetal forms the corresponding new 2-dimethylaminomethyleneamino derivative. Above mentioned derivative was condensed with several primary amines and the targeted 3-substituted quinazolin-4-ones were obtained in good yields.

    Abstract

The peculiarities of the condensation reactions of 1-ethoxycarbonylcyclopentanone-2 with some binucleophils taking place with cycle opening have been studied. The reaction products have been investigated and possible reasons for obtaining anomalous products have been proposed. The double-stage methods for synthesis of target hard-to-reach heterocycles have been elaborated.

INFLUENCE OF IONIC STRENGTH OF SOLUTION ON EtBr AND HOECHST 33258 JOINT BINDING PECULIARITIES WITH DNA

    Abstract

For the first time it is experimentally shown, that at joint interaction of EtBr and Hoechst 33258 (H33258) with DNA depending on their concentration the prevailing influence of one of them on melting parameters of their complexes with biopolymer is observed at ionic strength of solution 0.02 M Na+: at small concentration of ligands (r < 0.05) the influence of EtBr is more expressed. At the rather large concentration influence of H33258 considerably amplifies. At ionic strength of solution 0.002 M Na+ the two ligands influence on DNA melting parameters in the same way.

    Abstract

The effects of daily, weekly and annual academic loads on the hemodynamical and psychophysiological characteristics of the XI class pupils of the city Sari, Republic of Iran, were analyzed. The self-estimated state of health, activity and mood were evaluated using the HAM questionnaire. The introversion and extraversion, neuroticism and intelligence of the subjects were determined according to Eysenck. The main hemodynamic parameters (heart rate and arterial blood pressure) were measured, the systolic and minute blood volumes were calculated. The comparative analysis explored parameters in mode of daily, weekly and annual scholastic load has revealed basically parasympathetic type of reaction of hemodynamical factors of the pupils on scholastic load.
