    Abstract

Interaction of 2-chloro-4-methylquinolines with o-mercaptoaniline under various conditions synthesis performed substituted in benzene ring 2-(2-aminophenylthio)-4-methylquinolines and 2-(2-mercaptophenylimino)-4-methyl- 1,2-dihidroquinolines that by rearrangement օr isomerization were respectively converted into 2-(2-mercaptophenylamino)-4-methylquinolines.

    Abstract

The obtaining of hybrid mineral polymer sorbents, based on wide-porous microspherical silica gels and polymer components, has been discussed. The possibility to apply the obtained sorbents in reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography has been confirmed. Introducing the polymer layer onto the surface of microspherical silica gel has been realized by means of “dry polymerization” of corresponding monomers in the adsorbed layer of the porous matrix surface.

DENSITIES OF DEHYDROGENATED POLYMER SOLUTIONS IN DIMETHYLSULFOXIDE

    Abstract

Densities of dehydrogenated polymer (DHP) solutions in DMSO have been investigated in the temperature range 20–70°C. It has been shown that the density of the solution with a certain concentration of DHP in DMSO increases progressively with time tending to a constant value, whereas in the case of diluting the density of the solution varies, passing through the maximum point.

DENSITIES, EXCESS MOLAR AND PARTIAL MOLAR VOLUMES FOR DIETHYLSULFOXIDE WITH METHANOL OR ETHANOL BINARY SYSTEMS AT TEMPERATURE RANGE 298.15–323.15 $K$

    Abstract

Densities of binary mixtures of diethylsulfoxide with methanol or ethanol have been measured over the full range of compositions at different temperatures by means of a vibrating-tube densimeter. The excess and partial molar volumes were calculated from the density data. It has been shown that the excess molar volumes are negative over the whole range of composition and temperature and very strong molecular interactions take place between diethylsulfoxide and alkanols.

EFFECT OF VITAMIN E ON INTERMOLECULAR INTERACTIONS IN ETHANOL SOLUTIONS OF SODIUM PENTADECYLSULFONATE

    Abstract

The effect of vitamin E on intermolecular interactions in ethanol–sodium pentadecylsulfonate solutions by conductivity and viscosity methods was studied. It was shown that solvophobic interactions between components of system played the main role. It was established that the complex between molecules of vitamin E and ethanol in the premicellar region of sodium pentadecylsulfonate at $(2–3)\cdot 10^{–5} mol\cdot L^{–1}$ concentration of vitamin E was formed. As a result, the structure of ethanol was stabilized.

HEAVY METAL ADSORPTION BY ARMENIAN NATURAL ZEOLITE FROM NATURAL AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS

    Sh.V. Khachatryan
    View PDF
    Abstract

Copper, zinc, chromium, mercury, manganese, arsenic, lead and cadmium removal from natural aqueous solutions by Armenian natural zeolites was examined by using batch type and dynamic type methods. The percentage of adsorption was determined for the adsorption system as a function of contact time and number of cycle. Two types of selective series of heavy metal ions have been carried out. According to the studies, the selectivity sequence can be given as Cu>Pb>Mn>Cd>Fe>Zn>Cr>Ni>As≥Hg and Cu>Pb>Cd>Zn>Fe≥Mn≥Ni≥As>Cr>Hg in dynamic type and batch type methods.

    Abstract

The magnetic susceptibilities and effective moments of complexes consisting of nitrogen containing ligands and Ni2+, Co2+, Cu2+ ions were studied. It was shown, that complexes listed bellow are paramagnetic and are subjected to the law of Curie–Weiss.

    Abstract

While studying of the fauna of small mammals (Chiroptera, Insectivora, Rodentia) of Syunik region, new data on specific composition, distribution and abundance of species were obtained. The presence of a new area for specified species was identified. The obtained results were confirmed by conducted craniological and genetic analysis.

    Abstract

In the present work the temperature-induced and the acidic denaturation of ethidium bromide (EtBr) complexes with DNA have been carried out. The curves of helix-coil transition of both DNA and its complexes with EtBr in 0 ≤ r ≤ 0.5 (r = [ligand] / [DNA]) were obtained. It has been shown that with enhancement of EtBr concentration the transition point is shifted to the “high values” for both factors invoking this transition. It was also revealed that EtBr interacts with DNA by several modes being in non protonated and

ADENOSINE DEAMINASE ISOFORMS IN SYNOVIAL FLUID AT RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

    Abstract

The level of adenosine deaminase (ADA) activity in synovial fluids of patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) and non-inflammatory joint diseases differ significantly. In this work from synovial fluids with different levels of the ADA activity, low- and high-molecular isoforms were separated. The increasing of low-/high- molecular ratio upon increasing the total ADA activity was manifested. It was supposed that the increase of total ADA activity at inflammation takes place, because of the release of intracellular, low-molecular ADA. To prevent the anti-inflammatory agent, adenosine, against metabolizing by the enzyme, its inhibition might be considered as a new approach to the IA treatment.
