    Identity "Duality" in the context of historical-political marginalization (on the example of H. Asatryan)

    Abstract

    The article is devoted to the analysis of the phenomenon of identity duality in the context of its connection with historical and political marginalization, based on the example of Asatryan's philosophical heritage. Although the Armenian thinker did not use the terms duality of identity and marginalization, in his works he discussed the issue of the ethnopsychological portrait of Armenians in the context of the connection between the aforementioned phenomena. Based on the example of Asatryan, it is substantiated that the duality of Armenian identity will become an obstacle to his historical progress if he refuses spiritual renewal, acceptance of new truths, goal-setting and the will to achieve it.

    The problem of differentiating ideology and politics in the context of the relationship between the motherland and the state.

    Abstract

    Due to the historical fate of the Armenian people, issues related to the relationship between the borders of the homeland and the state have received great theoretical and practical resonance in the context of modern geopolitical transformations. The problem is that the historical homeland and the political homeland (state) of the Armenian people do not coincide either territorially or in terms of content. At the same time, the moral and aesthetic absolutization of the historical homeland has created an ideal, which embodies the past, in comparison with which the political homeland with its troublesome everyday life, endless problems and new challenges loses its attractiveness and value for many. In this regard, in order to understand the essence of the problem and to outline possible solutions, the concepts of transgression and transcendence acquire a new meaning and significance. Transgression, in our case, does not characterize the expansion of one's own cultural boundaries, but the direction of the search for a more «stable» being (life) beyond its borders in other socio-cultural and civilized spaces. The second concept - transcendence, expresses a mythical, eternally relevant and primary representation of the historical homeland, which sometimes obscures the relevance of the life problems facing the state and the need to solve them.

    Anthropological retribution for inevitable progress

    Abstract

    From the second half of the 20th century, people have become disillusioned with the ideology of "progressivism". A non-self-determined “one-dimensional person” is being formed, who blindly follows social stereotypes and conventions, living with demonstrative activity. The highest value of the consumer society and the motivation for the activity of "one man" is pleasure. Homelessness, that is alienation, becomes the doom of this world. Homelessness, perceived in this sense, means inauthenticity, a reduction of human existence to the mythical, to the “society of the spectacle,” where the transcendental integrity of life is lost.  

     Analyzing the system of values, actions and behavior of the "one-dimensional person" of the "society of the spectacle", the author comes to the conclusion that in order not to be on the "borderline of time", it is necessary to start a conservative revolution, so that the highest spiritual orientation of a person is not the progress, but an eternal return, or, more precisely, a return to the eternal, a return to the all-embracing integrity of life.

    Features of the Functioning of Public Opinion in the Context of Postmodernism

    Abstract

    Building a democratic state governed by the rule of law is inextricably linked with the need to act in accordance with public interests and moral norms, which is directly reflected in public opinion. The latter, as an independent element of social life, is one of the possible conditions for the existence of democracy, as well as an indicator of its development.

     The article examines the features of the functioning of public opinion in the context of postmodernism, the study of which makes it possible to identify problems in public life, to avoid manipulating public opinion.

    The Role of Life Satisfaction Enhancing Factors During the Covid-19 Pandemic

    Abstract

    The article presents the results of the research aimed at studying the predictive factors of life satisfaction during a pandemic in Armenia. The data was collected during the first wave of the coronavirus outbreak (May-June 2020). The results of the regression analysis showed that economic status and age, as demographic factors, were significant predictors for life satisfaction. Among personality factors, resilience, anxiety, and helping behavior significantly predetermined life satisfaction.

    The article is devoted to the analysis of the neuroscientific and psychological main approaches to the study of agency. Definitions of different authors are presented. An attempt has been made to outline the main peculiarities of the manifestation of agency that can serve as a basis for empirical study.
