Aims and Scope
Armenian Folia Anglistika (Online ISSN: 2579-3039; Print ISSN: 1829-2429) is a double-blind peer-reviewed international academic journal published by the Armenian Association for the Study of English in cooperation with Yerevan State University. The journal serves as an important forum for the advancement of research in English Studies, with a primary focus on the four foundational pillars of the humanities: Language, Literature, Culture, and Communication.
The overarching aim of Armenian Folia Anglistika is to foster scholarly excellence and intellectual dialogue in the broad and dynamic field of English Studies. By addressing a wide range of topical issues, Armenian Folia Anglistika aims to strengthen cooperation among scholars, researchers, educators, and practitioners both within Armenia and internationally. The journal actively promotes the integration of research and teaching, encouraging contributions that reflect innovative methodologies, critical insights, and pedagogical advancements relevant to university-level instruction and scholarly discourse in English Studies.
The journal publishes two issues per year and welcomes original, unpublished, and rigorously researched contributions in the fields of Linguistics, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies, Ethnic Studies, Cultural History, Gender Studies, Translation Studies, Discourse Analysis, Intercultural Communication, and other related areas of inquiry. The multi-national Editorial Board ensures the maintenance of high academic standards and welcomes submissions from a diverse community of scholars whose work expands and enriches the scope of English Studies in global and local contexts.

Alongside its primary focus on English Studies, Armenian Folia Anglistika includes a dedicated section on Armenological Studies, offering an interdisciplinary forum for research into Armenian language, literature, history, and culture, and emphasizing the role of English in framing and mediating discourse on these subjects. It further embraces scholarship in Genocide Studies, encouraging contributions that explore the Armenian Genocide through historical, literary, cultural, and ethical lenses, as well as comparative analyses of genocide, trauma, and memory across cultures. By highlighting these intersections, the journal underscores Armenia’s unique cultural and historical experience within the wider context of humanistic inquiry.
