Marginal in/for Literature: Topographical and Rhetorical Aspects

Abstract

The present article examines the problem of the semantic borders of a piece of literature and attempts to clarify which phenomena are considered marginal, i.e. uperficial for the piece of writing. The article states that marginality refers to virtual images that appear while reading the work, as well as to the printed images which give rise to different metaphorical meanings.
