    Abstract

At present 40 species of natural zeolites and over 100 species of synthetic zeolites are known. In Armenia the massives of zeolite containing rocks (zeolitites) have a wide distribution. The properties of non-modificated, thermal-chemically modificated and treated with the rays of sample electrons of clinoptilolites in Noyemberyan deposit (Nor Koghb) are studied by experiments. Zeolites are characterized by great potential for application in industry, economy and geoecology.

    Abstract

On the basis of analysis results of geophysical and hydrogeological investigations new data concerning ground water run off distribution of Kasakh River basin have been obtained. However, the vast watershed area and favorable natural realm for ground water development, the capacity of springs is not adequate. This can be explained by drainage of percolated water by buried valleys, out of which the Paleokasakh is one of the main underlava streams. On the basis of compiled underlava confining relief map of the Kasakh River watershed, new data concerning distribution of ground water run off network have been obtained. Assessment calculations of run off streams and infiltration out of Aparan reservoir have been conducted.

    Abstract

A map of agricultural zoning on the territory of Armenia is elaborated in 1956 and is in need of serious processing. A map of agricultural zoning of complex mountain territory of the republic is elaborated on the basis of analysis of indices of heat-and-moisture supply and conditions of wintering of agricultural crops as well as a number of other elements of climate and landscapes. Two agroclimatic districts, 8 regions and 16 subregions are revealed. The agroclimatic characteristics of each region is represented as 14 elements of climate by altitudinal belts in 200 and 500 m. The upper borders of cropping and possibility of achieving aftercrop a year are defined. The map of agroclimatic zoning is a basis for drawing up a new project of agricultural zoning of Armenia as well as for the solution of tasks connected with specialization of agriculture by regions, agricultural belts and large-scale farms.

    Abstract

The cyclone fields moving from the Cyprus Regions to the Republic of Armenia have great influence on the formation of weather conditions of the Republic especially in cold period of the year. The origin of strong winds, snowstorms and heavy rain is conditioned by them. The conditions of the Cyprus Cyclone formation, the features of the speed and the direction of the movement, the peculiarities of weather conditions in its different parts have been studied on the basis of synoptic charts, satellite photos and other statistical data. They are in the archives of the Hydrometeorological Centre of Armenia.
