The Fundamental Problems of Security and National Interests in the Changing World under the New Paradigms of Allied Relationships
AbstractThe current stage of confrontation between the West and the Russian Federation is unprecedented in terms of its scale, depth, and nature. This situation increases the role and importance of the international security assurance mechanisms, organizations and the international law. The confrontation changes the global order and balance of power which has been established after the collapse of the USSR.
In the South Caucasus the shift of the balance of power occurred as a result of 2020 War. This is evidenced by the ongoing tensions around the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as the local military provocations. In this context the Article discusses the issues of the RA national interests, the factors that affect them in the current situation and highlights the importance of resource security in formulating the national security agenda.
In the presented study, an important role is given to the security risks and choice of military paradigm, which should reflect the power balance that is not yet established in the region.
In this article, it is assumed that in the process of ensuring the security of the RA the role of allied relations with the Russian Federation should be carefully and realistically assessed based on the reciprocal interests and realism.

Peacekeeping as One of the Priorities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (2011-2022)
AbstractThe article discusses issues related to the peacekeeping activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), presents in detail the positions and ideas of the CSTO member states regarding the development of peacekeeping potential in the CSTO Collective Security Council (CSC), as well as policies aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the CSTO peacekeeping activities. Attention is also paid to cooperation with the United Nations in the field of peacekeeping.
At the same time, issues related to the international situation were discussed (in particular, the question of the advisability of attracting CSTO peacekeeping forces during the events that unfolded in Ukraine in 2014), which had an impact on the CSTO’s activities in the peacekeeping sphere.
The article talks about the protocol on amendments to the agreement on peacekeeping activities of the CSTO, as well as the creation of the institution of a special representative of the CSTO Secretary General on peacekeeping issues, emphasizing its importance and significance.
The CSTO peacekeeping operation in Kazakhstan and its consequences for relations between Russia and the United States and their NATO allies are analyzed separately. The policy pursued by China in this matter was also discussed.

The Issue of “Zangezur Corridor” in the Current Regional Developments
AbstractThe article discusses unfreezing of economic and transport relations in the region after the Second Karabakh war, more specifically, the issue of “Zangezur Corridor” is observed by the Republic of Armenia as security standpoint.
The article reviews United Kingdom’s Turkey’s, Russia’s, Iran’s, EU’s and US’ approaches to the issue of “Zangezur Corridor”. As a result of the involvement of the South Caucasus region in the processes of formation of a new world order, the security of the region has been eroded. As a result, the Republic, of Armenia has been facing new challenges. It is crucial to strengthen Republic of Armenia’s sovereignty and subjectivity as well as to conduct balanced foreign policy.

Political Processes in Soviet Armenia (1940-1950)
AbstractThe article analyzes the political processes in Soviet Armenia in 1940-1950, taking into account the fact that during this period the number of people arrested by the NKVD for anti-Soviet, anti-revolutionary, allied activities and spreading slander was the largest. In this regard, the article draws attention to the fact that special, more stringent legal norms were in force in the warring country, and at the same time, the fight against crimes that threaten the country's security became more motivated. In such conditions, as is customary in all countries, approaches are being tightened to persons who opposed the political course of the country in the past or in a certain period of time, the fight against espionage, treason and similar crimes is intensified. Despite the fact that the Armenian people suffered significant and irreparable losses during the Stalinist repressions, the years of the "collapse" that replaced the cult of personality contributed to the revival of the self-awareness of our society. It was obvious that these changes occurred with certain difficulties, reservations and resistance.

AbstractWith the formation of unipolar world and the approval of the new financial and economic world order with appropriate levers of influence on countries and nations, the modern world has faced an individualistic Anglo-Saxon interpretation of liberal democracy, which has become the ideological basis of the modern paradigm of global development. Such indisputable principles of liberal democracy as personal freedom, inviolability of human rights, the rule of law, parliamentary democracy, pluralism, civil society, economy based on the principle of competition and some others have become an integral part of the universal political culture. However, many of the radicalized provisions of this value system are not perceived by many peoples as “no alternative” and “the only true”. In many countries the opposition of priority moral and spiritual values to the neoliberal norms of behavior is becoming more and more evident. This creates the prerequisites for the transformation of the paradigm of global development.

The Financial and Economic Basis of the Global Development Paradigm
AbstractThe modern paradigm of global development is characterized by a pronounced neoliberal content, where the main emphasis is placed on liberal values, ensuring maximum individual freedom, accepting the Western model of democracy, as well as norms of behavior based on the market relations. At the same time, the special role of financial and economic policy is emphasized in determining the vector of global development. The Bretton Woods and Jamaican monetary systems became the basis for this paradigm. On the background of the strengthening of some actors in world politics the prerequisites are being formed for the transformation of a unipolar world into a multipolar one, which stimulates the transformation of the vector of global development. The possibilities of socio-economic development based on the existing system of institutions and technologies are being exhausted. New alternative centers of power are based on the ability of the new system of production relations to concentrate resources and activate human potential in the breakthrough directions of the new technological order.

Erdogan's diplomacy: political aspect
AbstractIn the current complex reality, saturated with geopolitical events, Turkish President Erdogan is showing a very peculiar political behavior. Continuing the best traditions of Ottoman diplomacy, Erdogan and his team are making progress on international platforms. In this sense, the study of modern features and the application of Erdogan's diplomacy are of current importance.
In the article, we examined the manifestations of evasive diplomacy in the context of the conflict between the collective West and the Russian Federation and tried to find out the real basis for success and the challenges that arise as a result of Erdogan's activities. The political analysis of international and regional events of recent years has revealed Turkey's foreign policy goals and achievements. The effectiveness of the diplomatic tools of Ankara's mediation mission in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict/war (grain deal, exchange of prisoners, security in the straits and an equal approach to the parties to the conflict) is especially noted.
We touched especially on the steps taken by Turkish diplomacy on the Finnish-Swedish issue. The political processes around the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO in 2022 testify to the strengthening of Turkey's international role. During this time, Erdogan began a new game with the West and without further ado dictated his terms.
The Russian factor is the basis of Erdogan's success.
With every day of hostilities in Ukraine, Russia is losing its international prestige and influence in the West. On the contrary, the positions of Turkey are being strengthened, cooperation with which has become much more necessary for Russia than before. Ankara opposes itself to the "collective West" and at the same time, as almost the only link between Russia and Europe, is increasing its weight day by day, and also categorically does not join the sanctions.
