    The Village and National Identity in the Perspective of Social Changes

    Abstract

     The article is represented through concentration of sociological questions which leads to the very issue of the reproduction of the national identity in the rural community in frames of the modernization processes. For observing the mentioned issue the rural-urban interrelation is analyzed as a symbolic sphere of traditional-modern interconnection. The multi-observational scheme of land-familycommunity is presented to reveal the village as a mechanism which sustains and reproduces the traditional elements of ethnic identity highlighting the importance of maintaining the agricultural way of life.

    Abstract

    The concept of Information Society is a theoretical model, which assures understanding and analyzing ongoing transformations of the contemporary society. Quantitative changes of information have shaped qualitatively new type of social order, that is to say Information Society. It forms our lifestyle, the way we live and do business, educate our children, teach and learn, spend our leisure time and so on and so forth. Information Society is a new socio-cultural reality, where the society and economic relations are primarily based on information and knowledge. The paper aims at analyzing various theories regarding Information Society, due to which main directions of changes in key areas of social life are identified. Changes that create our everyday life not only affect the way people interact or live, but also require new structures of identity.

    Current Situation of the State-Confessional Relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan (on the example of Roman Catholic Church)

    Abstract

    The article presents the very important issue of relations between state and religious bodies in the multinational societies. The society of Kazakhstan consisting of more than 120 ethnic groups and 40 religious communities represents an example of current relations between state bodies and church institutions within the concepts of coexistence and development. The author discusses these issues on the example of the Roman Catholic Church, demonstrating the historical developments and the current situation. The main idea of the article is in the cooperation of the state – society – church towards peaceful coexistence and development of human values based on the state development strategy and common interests.

    As a result of sociological survey of the teachers of physical training a conclusion has been drawn about the importance of extracurricular sectorial trainings on different kinds of sports. A special vital role of basketball in the system of the classes of physical culture has been defined. It has been acknowledged to restore the so-called "section sports" classes at general public schools and basketball classes in particular.

    Physical Education in Secondary Professional Training Institutions

    Abstract

    In this article we attempt to determine the current state of physical education in secondary vocational schools. We have carried out a social pedagogical investigation, which was attended by 410 students from a variety of professional areas. The study identified the main reasons hindering the effective implementation of physical education, as well as the active involvement of the students in the process of physical education.
