    The Features of Public Relations on the Internet or PR 2.0

    Abstract

    The article reviews the features and dynamics of Internet development as the main means of mass communication in the modern world. The author draws attention to quantitative and qualitative changes in virtual communication due to the concept Web 2.0, and the role and meaning of network communication tools, social media and social networks in various spheres of social life. The article presents official data published by international and Armenian research agencies in the last 2-3 years concerning the growth in the number of the Internet and social networks users, which is a reflection of quantitative changes leading to qualitative transformations in communication and public relations.

    Concept of Civilizational Matrix in the Macrosociological Analisys of Social Changes

    Abstract

    The article analyzes the main provisions of the idea of the civilizational matrix in terms of applicability in the analysis of social change. Affirming that the conservation of integrative qualities of the system after the passage of the bifurcation points in their development is conditioned by a complex of stable socio-cultural constants, components of the civilizational matrix; social modernization in this case acts as an adequate protective response to changing environmental conditions, a means of maintaining relative homeostasis system status.

    Abstract

    The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the most well-known international rankings methodologies in higher education institutions. It has identified the main criterions and directions for evaluation of higher education institutions activities. The identified directions, being taken as a basis for comparative analysis, provided the overall structure and logic of the sequential analysis for the each ranking system. It has presented the features appeared during the rankings based on the level of the criterions for evaluation of higher education institutions activities in the framework of certain rankings system.

    Methodic Problems of Professional Orientation of High School Pupils in RA

    Abstract

    This article presents the analysis of the main approaches of professional orientation at high school and formulates recommendations for high schools of Armenia. The process of professional orientation is a major challenge for society as a whole and for the education system in particular. The objectives of this process are different, and often – contradictory. The most obvious purpose of the vocational guidance is the choice of the profession, which is the most suitable to pupil’s abilities. Secondly, it is about choosing a profession demanded by the labor market. Third, to ensure the economic, scientific and social development of the society, it is necessary to stimulate the choice of innovative professions. The separation of the senior classes of mainstream schools as an independent educational institution in RA aimed at the improvement of pupils’ professional orientation system. However, the high school faced different conceptual, organizational and methodological problems.
