Private Pension System Management Priorities in the Republic of Armenia

Abstract

This paper considers several issues concerning planned reforms of pension system in Armenia and foundation of private pension environment. The paper studies legal documents, concepts about current reform in Armenia, shows potential problems and threats, and offers possible solutions for long term planning and financial stability of the system. The bases for raised problems and founded solutions international best practice of pension system management, last financial turbulences and socio-economic issues in emerging economies are taken into account.
