• Ruben Melkonyan, Yerevan State University, Armenia

  Dr. Ruben Melkonyan is a Professor of Turkish Studies at Yerevan State University, where he has taught since 2003 and currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. He received his PhD in 2005 and later defended his doctoral dissertation in 2019, earning the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. His research focuses on the history, politics, and modern dynamics of Turkey and the broader region, with particular attention to Armenian–Turkish relations, minority issues, and state policy. He is the author and co-author of numerous university textbooks, monographs, and more than seven dozen scholarly articles.
