Mindfulness, as a method of psychological self-regulation, continues to be the subject of theoretical and experimental research, especially in Western scientific circles. The aim of this research is to find out the interpretations and definitions of mindfulness in psychological concepts, to explore its components. The study shows that the definitions of mindfulness generally do not clarify the state of consciousness that arises while performing mindfulness practices. According to he results of the research attention is in the center of maindfulness. The attention should be paid purposefully, in the present moment, without criticizing, openly, and should be focused on the flow and experience of feelings, emotions and sensations. Mindfulness is also a set of skills, a state, a process, a quality and a practice.
