Abstract

Approaches to improve phenylalanine-producing strains in Corynebacterium lactofermentum based on precursor fluxes increasing towards biosynthesis of the mentioned amino acid have been studied. Mutations in enzymes involved in piruvate metabolism were shown to effect phenylalanine productivity.
