    The Echoes of the Armenian Tragedy in Russian Poetry in the Second Half of the 20th Century

    Abstract

    The subject of the article is the topic of the Armenian Genocide in the works of Russian poets, such as V. Zvyagintseva, A.Gitovich, A.Tarkovsky, M. Matusovsky, B. Chichibabin, M. Dudin and others. The author of the article shows that even decades after the Armenian Genocide it remained a matter of concern for Russian poets, becoming an integral part of their perception of Armenia’s and its people’s fate. The main motives of poems are distinguished, such as deep compassion for the Armenian tragedy, the impunity of Turkey as genocide com-mitter, hope for the restoration of historical justice, the vitality of the Armenian people and their love for life.

    Abstract

    The development of the Armenian-Russian literary rela-tions, their expansion and consolidation have been a notable aspect of scientific, literary, organizational activity of distinguished literary critic, academician Levon Mkrtchyan, which has been reflected in his numerous works. Much valuable information in this regard is preserved in L. Mkrtchyan’s rich archive. The letters published in the article represent the way in which one of L. Mkrtchyan’s initiatives was realized, i.e. the first publication of poems of XX century fine lyric poetess and devoted translator of Arme-nian poets Maria Petrovikh, i.e. the book “Dalnee Derevo” published in Yerevan in 1968.

    Abstract

    Ariadna Efron, daughter of the poetess Marina Tsvetaeva, has made an invaluable con-tribution in preserving and publishing Tsvetaeva’s heritage, interpreting her handwritten copies, various drafts and notes. The article estimates the work done by Efron and puts into scientific circulation for the first time some archival materials which shed light on the nuances of Tsvetaeva’s creative laboratory.

    Abstract

    The paper is devoted to the study of "The Fatal Series" by V. Bryusov in the context of the sonnets corona theory. The crown of sonnets is regarded as a supertextual level phenomenon, and the problems of the cross-textual relations between the master sonnet and the main corpus as well as between the main corpus texts are considered. Two types of cross-textual links (obligatory and complementary) and their function in the context of “The Fatal Series” are revealed.

    Abstract

    Images of the book and the garden, traditional for the world literature, get new meanings in Zabolotski’s poetry of the 1930s, differing from the ones in previous Russian poetry. The mentioned images reflect the characteristic features of the poet’s world view and his relation to the tragic pages of the Soviet reality in the 30s of the ХХ century.
