Հոդվածը նվիրված է ագենտության ուսումնասիրության նեյրոգիտական և հոգեբանական հիմնական տեսական մոտեցումների վերլուծությանը: Ներկայացված են այս հիմնախնդրով զբաղվող տարբեր հեղինակների սահմանումներ: Փորձ է արվել՝ ուրվագծելու ագենտության դրսևորման հիմնական առանձնահատկությունները, որը կարող է հիմք հանդիսանալ վերջինիս էմպիրիկ ուսումնասիրության համար:
