Abstract

The paper analyzes the language of three letters from a publicist, public figure of the Petrine epoch I.T. Pososhkov to Metropolitan Stephan Yavorsky. In particular, the morphological, syntactic and lexical features of letters are considered. The main observation made is that the author uses elements of the Church Slavonic language, business (command) language, live speech.
