Ճապոնիայի դերը հայերին աջակցելու և Հայաստանի տնտեսության մի շարք ոլորտների զարգացման հարցում

Հայ-ճապոնական առնչությունների վերաբերյալ տեղեկություններ են հասել մեզ դեռևս XIX դարից սկսած: Դրանք մեծ մասամբ վերաբերել են առևտրային ոլորտին: Բացի տնտեսական առնչություններից՝ Ճապոնիան մշտապես աջակցել է հայերին և հետաքրքրված է եղել հայերի ճակատագրով: Դեռևս 1894 թվականից ճապոնական մամուլը պարբերաբար լուսաբանել է Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայերի զանգվածային սպանությունները, ինչպես նաև 1915 թ. ցեղասպանությունը:
1922 թ. Ճապոնիայում բացվեց միջազգային մարդասիրական աջակցություն տրամադրող առաջին հիմնադրամը՝ Էիչի Շիբուսավայի ղեկավարությամբ, որի նպատակն էր աջակցել ցեղասպանությունից փրկված հայերին: Մեծ է եղել նաև Ճապոնիայի աջակցությունը հայերին 1988 թ. Սպիտակի երկրաշարժի ժամանակ:
Խորհրդային Միության փլուզումից և Հայաստանի անկախացումից հետո հայ-ճապոնական հարաբերությունները սահմանափակվում էին միայն Ճապոնիայի կողմից տրամադրվող տնտեսական աջակցությամբ` փորձելով օգնել Հայաստանին վերականգնել կիսաքանդ եղած տնտեսությունը: Ըստ Ճապոնիայի կողմից Հայաստանին տրամադրվող աջակցության տեսակի (դրամաշնորհներ, փոխառություններ ու տեխնիկական սարքավորումներ)՝ Ճապոնիայի տնտեսական քաղաքականությունը Հայաստանում դիտարկել ենք երեք փուլով:
Արդեն 2018 թվականից սկսած` նկատվում են միտումներ տնտեսության ոլորտում հավասար գործընկերային համագործակցության և փոխշահավետ տնտեսական հարաբերությունների ձևավորման ուղղությամբ:
