Abstract

Benz-substituted 2-methyl-3-alkyl-4-hydroxyquinolines were synthesized by thermal cyclization of corresponding ethylic ethers of 2-[1-(arylamino)ethyliden]butanoic-, pentanoic- or hexanoic-acids. By the interaction of synthesized hydroxyquinolines with phosphorous oxychloride the corresponding 4-chloro derivatives were obtained.
