    Abstract

    The article examines humanistic approaches to Armenia's educational policy. The idea is stated that more productive personal and professional development of specialists can be ensured by introducing the component of personal development education into the educational process of the university.     Abstract

    The current article reviews the results of a study of social-cognitive and motivational predictors of health behaviour. The theory of planned behavior was tested by using a TPB questionnaire and Treatment Self-Regulation Questionnaire was used. In the result of the step-wise multiple regression, self-efficacy and autonomous motivation were revealed as main predictors for healthy eating, physical activity and smoking cessation. Thus, healthy lifestyle can be constructed by self-regulation process.

    Abstract

    This article discusses one of the key issues of the psychological empirical research, specifically the possibilities of introducing the focus group method within the experimental research basic techniques. A fact is emphasized that, for researching separate issues in the contemporary phase of scientific knowledge, partial research methods are also combined with the special methods applied in empirical psychology, which are borrowed from other sciences. And since, among similar methods, the focus-group method progressively gaining an active use in psychological research is specially highlighted, an attempt has been made to detailedly introduce its application methodology.

The peculiarities of consumer motives’ expression among young people are analyzed and interpreted. According to the study, the consumer behavior of young adults is primarily directed by internally oriented motives. Though, in consumption situations externally oriented motives are less involved in the behavior.
