    GENERATION OF CEMENT-SOIL OUT OF LOAMY CLAY OCCURRING IN THE TERRITORY OF ABAQABAD CITY (IRAN)

    Abstract

    The article is devoted to the problem of generation of cement-soil out of loamy clay occurring in the territory of Abaqabad City (Iran). As a result of implemented laboratory tests, it turned out that temporary resistance of maximum pressure is obtained in the case of 7% cement, when humidity is 2% lower then optimum humidity of sample soil. The standard stability of cement-soil with this optimum mixture and humidity is determined after 28 days and it makes up 5․07 MPa, which is only a part of its stability. Particularly, the stability of test soil increases up to 6․07 MPa at 60 days of drying.

    PECULIARITIES OF ASSESSMENT OF INTRINSIC PROTECTABILITY OF WATERBEARING HORIZONS

    Abstract

    Problems of assessment of intrinsic protectability of water-bearing horizons on the pattern of Shirak basin are discussed in the paper. Qualitative assessment of water-table horizon protectability is made on the basis of depth to water table, thickness and permeability of impermeable soil in aeration zone. Quantitative assessment of water-table horizon intrinsic protectability is carried out on tracking time of pollutants to water-table (days). Intrinsic protectability of the first from land surface confined aquifer was made on the basis of overlaid impermeable soil’s thickness and relationship between water table and potentiometric levels. Water-table horizon is evaluated as not protected and poorly protected, confined horizon is assessed as tentatively protected and protected.

    AUTHENTICITY DEGREE OF CORE FACTS

    Abstract

    In the article the subjects about presented facts of geological boreholes of diamond column drilling in ore deposit of effective minerals are discussed. The primary quality index of drilling is the percentage exit of cores, safe keeping of core materials during the drilling. In the forming of core acted different factors of technical and technological characters, natural particularities of shaken rocks, as: splitting, abrasive capacity to resist to the destruction of abrasion ferrule eroded of rocks or core components by washing liquid. By the researches it is installed that the diameter of drilling has not influenced on the exit of the core by the determinate method and the higher exit of core more than 70%, does not guarantee the reliable aspect constrained to the selective abrasion of the easily destructed minerals.
