    Abstract

According to the results of haloes lithogeochemical studies of Pkhrut hydrothermal uranium deposit, is established that the application of phase chemical analysis (the detection of content of mobile uranium in samples) allows to determine secondary haloes of uranium deposits, which in sizes significantly exceed haloes delineated by radiometric method. It is established that the combined use of these two methods significantly increases the reliability of uranium mineralization prospecting (especially blind one).

    Abstract

Though to the present time fulfilled researches in the sphere of water resources, water supply situation in the Republic of Armenia remains unsatisfactory. In this connection the Ararat intermountain basin underground waters have a special interest. In the paper the issues of palaeohydrogeological zoning the relation between contemporary and ancient watersheds have been discussed. On the basis of mathematical modelling the influence of underground water concentrated collection in the foothill part of the territory on their regime in the plain part of the basin has been assessed.

    Abstract

In the article the results of hydro-geological investigations of the Goght-Garni ground water flow carried out with the purpose of overestimation of natural resources and operational reserves of fresh ground waters are summarized. It is established, that underlava and recent topography do not coincide, accumulation of groundwater flow occurs on buried under lavas ancient channels of the rivers. On water balance method it is established, that investigated groundwater flow recharges from the neighbouring basins either from Lake Sevan or the Vedi River Basin.

    Abstract

The cyclone fields moving from the South regions to the Republic of Armenia have great influence on the formation of weather conditions of the Republic especially in cold period of the year. Many strong winds, snowstorms and heavy rains are observed by them. The conditions of the South Cyclone formation, the features of the speed and the direction of the movement, the peculiarities of weather conditions in its different parts have been studied on the basis of synoptic charts, satellite images and other statistical data, archived in «Hydrometeorological Centre» of Armenia.

THE FORECASTING TECHNIQUE OF ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION BY NITROGEN DIOXIDE IN YEREVAN

    H. A. Melkonyan, A. A. Gabrielyan
    View PDF
    Abstract

In this paper the forecasting technique of atmospheric pollution by nitrogen dioxide based on processed data of monitoring over the quantity of nitrogen dioxide and methodological characteristics for 2005–2007 in Yerevan is discussed. The "method of recognition of images" has been applied for developing the technique for warm and cold periods. Air temperature, wind direction and velocity, air humidity and inversion have been considered as predictors. Test computation has been done. For the application of the technique further tests will be carried out.

    Abstract

A detailed analysis of natural and anthropogenic elements of Syunik Marz territory, standardization of respective score values, selection of expert weight factors and subsequent collation of those factors enabled us to produce a map of landscape-ecological pressure. Treating the map as a base we provided landscape-ecological zonation of Syunik Marz territory and finally defined 3 landscape-ecological regions and 17 sub-regions.
