The famous Russian poet Bella Akhmadulina, in addition to a number of poems and ballad "Parvana", translated also Hovhannes Tumanian՛s poems for the children. The article analyzes these translations. It is noted that Akhmadulina often don’t observe the formal peculiarities of the originals, but tries to preserve their inner content, naturalness and depth.
The present paper, dedicated to the memory of Andrei Bitov, is a continuation of the first publication (see N1, 2019, pp.19-43). L. Mkrtchyan’s diary entries presented in the introductory note to this publication, as well as other details of the published text highlight the noteworthy fact of the biography and creative work of the outstanding Russian writer ( Bitov’s attempt supported by Mkrtchyan’s initiative to defend his text about Pushkin as a PhD thesis at the YSU), also reflecting the ingenious and friendly nature, style and creative level of his relations with Armenian colleagues.
This article is dedicated to the memory of Karen Stepanyan (1952-2018), a prominent expert in literary studies, internationally known in particular for his numerous scientific works and extensive organizational activity in the field of studies about Dostoevsky. The author presents in general terms the activity of Karen Stepanyan in the sphere of literary criticism and science, then examines latest published works of the scientist in details, in the context of their connection with his new scientific concept, which remained unfinished.
The author of this article attaches attention for the first time to a series of important facts, the detailed consideration of which provides an extended picture of significant and diverse contact links of the great Armenian poet of the XX century Vahan Teryan with the work of the outstanding representative of the Silver Age’s Russian literature Fyodor Sologub. The article draws parallels and sheds light for the first time on the appearance of the triolet form in Teryan’s poetry
The paper refers to the constant presence of the plays by Anton Chekhov on the stages of Catalonia, presenting in this context the latest versions by now: Vanya by stage director Alex Rigola (2017-2018) and The Cherry Orchard in Ernesto Caballero’s version (2019). Besides the analysis of these two plays presented by theater companies from Madrid during their tours in Barcelona, the paper also refers to the respective articles in the Catalan press. The critics mainly emphasize the continuing relevance of the questions set out in Chekhov’s plays till the date, as well as the new approaches of the stage directors, which do not receive a unanimous positive feedback in case of The Cherry Orchard and get an unexceptional high evaluation of critics in case of Vanya.
The article is devoted to analising of persuasive semantic component in the meaning structure of the Russian verb. The research shows that Russian verbs have persuasive component, which expresses in emotional, mental verbs and “verbs – communications”. The author considers several classes of Russian verbs and shows that some of them expresses persuasive meaning directly and others indirectly.
The paper discusses the category of politeness on the material of the Speech Act of Request in the light of Intercultural Communication. As shown in the paper, the expression of The Speech Act of Request can show the characteristics of the
particular linguistic culture and the expression of politeness in that. In the article, in particular, Russian, Armenian and English Linguocultures are considered.
