Հոդվածում վերլուծվում են հեռավար ուսուցման հիմնական հասկացությունների ձևավորման պատմական փուլերը (թղթակցային ուսուցում, Հեռավար ուսուցում): Դիտարկվում են Ուկրաինայում հեռավար կրթության զարգացման տեսական ասպեկտները: Գիտական աղբյուրների վերլուծության հիման վրա համակարգված են հեռավար կրթության և դիստանցիոն ուսուցման հիմնական հասկացությունների մեկնաբանությունները: Ուշադրություն է դարձվում այն փաստին, որ հեռավար ուսուցման հասկացությունների և տերմինների ժամանակակից ըմբռնումը հիմնված է դրա մեկնաբանության վրա ՝ որպես ինտերնետային տեխնոլոգիաների և ռեսուրսների օգտագործմամբ գործունեություն:
