The Peculiarities of Interpretation of Problems of Children in a Conflict with Law in Mass Media

The article deals with the coverage of legal norms and ethical principles of delinquents’ issues in the context of comprehensive problem of children's rights’ protection The author presents a range of fundamental rules of materials preparation in mass media about juvenile delinquents developed by local and international organizations dealing with the protection of children's rights and various mass media professional associations and journalistic unions. The author also addresses the issue of law regulation, which makes mass media and its representatives legally responsible for the distributing materials about juveniles having problems with law and for violating the principles of protection of rights and legitimate interests of children, as reflected in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
