Abstract

The paper touches upon the special nature of pronouns conditioned by their deictability and its specific pragmasemantic features. Pronouns have their own type of deixis, which results from their cognitive-pragmatic characteristics and consists in the coexistence of the two layers in their meaning: that of “lexical content” as well as “pragmatic content” which helps to complete the proposition expressed.
