The paper deals with the temporal structure of the non-fiction novel “In Cold Blood” by the American writer of the 20th century Truman Capote. It addresses the temporal devices used to create a non-fictional narrative with the techniques of fiction. The genre-forming role of these temporal devices is analyzed.
