Abstract

The interaction of chromium(VI) with acridine basic dye-rivanol has been studied. The colored ionic associate could be extracted by dichlorethane and aceton (1:1) binary mixture in 1 to 1.5 N hidrochloric acid solutions. The optimal concentration of rivanol is 1.2·10-3 M. The range of determined concentrat ion is 0.6–10 mcg Cr/ml ( $\overline{\epsilon}=$7,0·104 l·mol-1·cm-1). The method was used for determination of small amounts of chromium in milk, sour cream and curds.
